We Belong In India.

A few months ago,a Hollywood film titled "The man who knew infinity" released. The film is an autobiography of Srinivas Ramanujan, the celebrated Indian Mathematician, whose theories shook and mesmerized the entire mathematical realm. however his genius got established under the wings of Prof. Gh hardy, the professor of university of Cambridge. Sri Jagadish Chandra Bose whose Pathbreaking discoveries in detection of plant stimuli, gave great proof of existence of plant's life, first developed 'coherer'. The first ever radio. however a scientist of a slave nation (colonized India) could never be accredited profusely for the discovery that was later earned by Italian physicist Guglielmo Marconi. as a student of chemical sciences, carrying out research in my motherland has very few options. Blame it on the lack of funds, or infrastructure or the fact that cracking NET is not a cakewalk.

India has huge potential. The best brains. The inventor of zero, arithmetic, geometry, atoms, astronomy, medicinal sciences to name a few. International companies make a beeline to recruit the top Indian brains, blinding them with huge salary and glossy life abroad. The mindset of average Indian middle class is besotted with the "foreign dream". This makes "brain drain" all the more intense and palpable.

Just a few months ago, Dr. Takaki Kajita, physicist, nobel laureate in a seminar on the atmospheric muon particles was all praise for the advanced research on the same. according to Dr. Kajita , who is a pioneer in this field, the oscillations of muon particles is the hottest topic of research globally, albeit with several discrepancies. Indian institute of astrophysics, Bengaluru has been carrying out the research but in an all new manner, and has highest chance of success.

The study and analysis of green chemistry and its explicit research is being carried out in university of Delhi. the Royal society of chemistry has recognized and applauded the papers published. several international conferences are being held on the same. ISRO,nurtured by the government of India has silenced the olympus of space research NASA, by launching the very first satellite in mars' orbit Mangalayan. The innumerable satellites, cost effective and of highest technicality are all the hard labour of Indian grey matter, who chose to serve their motherland instead of surrendering to foreign.

Such stories instill hope in the hearts of students like me who want to learn and work in India. Though, not a bed of rose, the thorns only add up to the adventure and the smile on your mother's lips is worth all the pain.
